Injury prone though isnt he old Buffon?
And you haven't put the PIG or Lindegaard in your list of possibles...wisely i'd say!!

Signed for Birmingham on a permanent last summer mate.

Wouldn't surprise me if United ended up with Buffon, would be a signing similar to VDS, in that he's signed as an experienced keeper short term.

Think United would need to sign a young keeper to play second fiddle and learn from him to take over when he retires though, as these short term signings will have to stop eventually.

Six years isn't what I'd call short term. If an experienced keeper like Buffon us signed could Lindegaard be that keeper to act as cover while learning?

I'd take Buffon all day long. I think De Gea for £17m would be a decent deal. He needs to mature and have a better command of his area, but within 3 years he'll go for double that.

Kaka's mum (or so it says) has tweeted "Next season we will be in London from the middle of August", raising speculation of a move to #Chelsea.
