The Poznan is the most embarassingly camp and pathetic thing ever.

What are they celebrating? If you spend £420 billion on players, you would expect to be playing in the Champions League surely? So many players needed there to make them challengers for the title.

The video of them berating Poznan fans for doing it never gets tiresome.

All is looking set for City's 'achievements' to be overshadowed like in 67/68 and hopefully their European run will last as long as in 68/69.

Let's be honest. If you were watching Citeh, wouldn't you want to turn your back on them?

They are pretty much on course for joining Man United and Chelsea at the top of English football. They look pretty much certain to lift their first silverware for 37(?) years.

You expect them to be miserable about that?

The fact is, if you had a choice between being in Citeh's position or Everton's (you're an Evertonian, right?) you'd have chosen to have been taken over by a rich Arab. And you'd be happy with the achievements of the club so far.

Along with most other football fans, I want Citeh to lose to Stoke, I want them to implode and manage to make it to 50 years without a trophy and I want them to spend a couple of billion without anything to show for it. But I don't expect Citeh fans to share that view. I expect Citeh fans to accept whatever success comes their way with relish.

Embarrassing listening to Sky tonight going on and on about Spurs. Harry's had a poor season and his side have flopped massively in the back end of the season. Harry keeps refusing to accept expectation, something the English media seemingly seem to accept, but you simply can't finish in the top 4 and not expect expectations, especially when some people were saying Spurs could challenge for the league. (Harry might've said this as well, but I'm not sure)

Fact is, they have one of the apparent most talented squads in the league, they have the bestest motivator in the world with an incredibly warm arm that's capable of magic if placed around a player's shoulder, they have the world's best player, they would have won the champions league if Crouch didn't get sent off, but his manager's persistence of the useless beanpole won't be criticized because they're both English. I still can't believe the amount of grief Rafa got from fans and the media, yet somehow the English media are gagging for 'Arry to become England manager. Absolutely pathetic.

You're just mad because they're your main rivals right now and they've had a better season than you.

Benitez got grief, in part, because he refused to accept expectation in the league as well. Oh, no, we can never compete in the league because everyone else has so much more money than us etc. etc...

Thing is, we had Hodgson try his utmost to destroy our season, yet we could still finish above Spurs this year, and we've had our fair share of injuries and troubles. We have had, by many accounts, a season of complete opposite halves. Top second half, awful first half.

You sort of make the point I'm making with your second part, why did Benitez get so much grief for refusing to accept lofty expectations, yet nothing is said of Harry, who also won't accept criticism, and seems to base everything off of saving Spurs from relegation and getting them in the CL.

Another thing you don't see a lot of is people listing 'Arry's flops like you did with Rafa. Where are the lists of people laughing at their multi-million strike force firing blanks? Why don't people question him when some people don't get games? I've not heard much from Pienaar since he's been at Spurs, yet there has been little criticism of the signing. Whatever happened to Kranjcar? Kaboul? Naughton?

I don't actually have any problem with Redknapp or Spurs, I just hate the double standards of the media, who evidently love Harry and will not accept criticism of him, much like the Barclay-led defence of Hodgson.

As a club, Spurs are at their highest point in a long time. Liverpool dipped to their lowest point in a long time. And both those points are pretty close.

So the reason Redknapp isn't getting hassle while Benitez did was because Benitez was failing with Liverpool, while Redknapp is succeeding at Spurs.

Another reason Redknapp will get favourable press is that he's got an El Tel type of personality so he'll have friends in the media who will fight for him based upon years and years of banter and laughs. Benitez was a foreign import who many of the media will have not got along with because of Rafa's personality.

Spot on Rob regarding Redknapp and money spent, I think he should get more grief. I think he's signed about 4 right backs. It;s hard to have a pop at some of the players signed though as they were probably signed or scouted by your shagpiece Commoli.

Bingo and I imagine that there's been less questions asked of Redknapp by Spurs supporters than there was with Benitez. Liverpool were a top four club that wasn't improving on the expectations year on year and promptly promoted discussion as to why this wasn't happening. If Redknapp had another year or two and didn't progress I'm sure the questions would keep coming. This media paranoia is just silly.
