Spot on Rob regarding Redknapp and money spent, I think he should get more grief. I think he's signed about 4 right backs. It;s hard to have a pop at some of the players signed though as they were probably signed or scouted by your shagpiece Commoli.
He signed the best player in the world, can't knock him.
The video of them berating Poznan fans for doing it never gets tiresome.
That will have been airbrushed from history by now mate. It never actually happened. It will have been some nasty Nited fan making it up no doubt.
Tyler on Sky last night saying it was their "unique" celebration. Dicitionary definition of unique gives us: 1. existing as the only one or as the sole example; single; solitary in type or characteristics: a unique copy of an ancient manuscript. 2. having no like or equal; unparalleled; incomparable:
Not quite unique then Martin.
Thought Spuds deserved something from last night but if they don't create clear cut chances then they aren't going to win many games. City were quite poor IMO but appeared to be in 2nd gear at least for most of the game, cruising and with more than half an eye on Saturday. Yaya Toure blatantly coasted through that game with a hugely half ar$ed attitude up until Tevez came on, as he did at Liverpoo the Monday before the sembo too, curiously.
As for Tevez - has he spent his time out injured eating pies?? And would City fans put him straight in the team for Saturday after so little game time recently?
Embarrassing listening to Sky tonight going on and on about Spurs. Harry's had a poor season and his side have flopped massively in the back end of the season. Harry keeps refusing to accept expectation, something the English media seemingly seem to accept, but you simply can't finish in the top 4 and not expect expectations, especially when some people were saying Spurs could challenge for the league. (Harry might've said this as well, but I'm not sure) Fact is, they have one of the apparent most talented squads in the league, they have the bestest motivator in the world with an incredibly warm arm that's capable of magic if placed around a player's shoulder, they have the world's best player, they would have won the champions league if Crouch didn't get sent off, but his manager's persistence of the useless beanpole won't be criticized because they're both English. I still can't believe the amount of grief Rafa got from fans and the media, yet somehow the English media are gagging for 'Arry to become England manager. Absolutely pathetic.
You should listen to Radio 5 Live then. It's a proper Liverpool love-in of late.
"Journalists who like nothing better than knocking the likes of Wenger and Benitez get all upset when somebody questions Redknapp...
I don't care if he's 'great bloke' when you're all eating out of his hand in the press room. I care about nine points from ten games.
Imagine if 'Arry fails to take ENG to WC2014. Front pages will call for a hanging, back pages will call him a 'misunderstood genius'..."
Then you get gems like this from Neil Ashton of the sunday sun:
"Redknapp gave Spurs fans best football since 1984 UEFA Cup win over Anderlecht and still they complain, it's nearly 30 years"
It's hilarious watching the 'LMA Army' as they're known. Henry Winter and co. will defend 'Arry 'til the end, don't be surprised if you see Fergie or Sam Allardyce jump in there and defend one of their men.
I'll tell you what pressure is. "Grand final, only seconds to go, and a field goal attempt with a split testicle and your shoes on the wrong feet."
He's neck scars proves he's lost his head Tevez, Tevez
He'll never have a sexy bird Tevez, Tevez
The argy lover, the ugly ****, they sewn his head on back to front
Carlos Tevez, herman munster head.

Did you see Gray Owen on Sky Sports news this morning? Claiming that Manchester United used to call them the bitter blues but are now just Jealous of Citehs position. Yes Gary i'd give anything for a fourth place finish over being 1 point away from a record 19th title and being in a champions league final.

I think that there's a case for getting a good opening 45 mins out of him rather than saving him for late on. Despite his tubbiness our play speeded up appreciably when he came on yesterday. We have a tendency for making pedestrian starts to the game and we need to take the match to Stoke on saturday. As we saw yesterday, if he's on the bench there's always the problem of when is the best time to bring him on. Start with him and its more a question of monitoring his energy levels, take him off when he's spent.

Not a bad idea, Cibaman. We need pace up front. I thought Dzecko looked like he was running through treacle, that's been left in the fridge for 6 months. As long as the real Yaya turns up, and Silva's on his A game, we've more than enough to handle Stoke
Me: I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
knockersbumpMKII: Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm

There was a superb interview with Neville on Sportsweek on Sunday - worth a download and listen. I'm biased but I thought he came across superbly.
As for Gary Owen, even city fans don't take him seriously, and that's saying something.

They are pretty much on course for joining Man United and Chelsea at the top of English football. They look pretty much certain to lift their first silverware for 37(?) years.
You expect them to be miserable about that?
The fact is, if you had a choice between being in Citeh's position or Everton's (you're an Evertonian, right?) you'd have chosen to have been taken over by a rich Arab. And you'd be happy with the achievements of the club so far.
Along with most other football fans, I want Citeh to lose to Stoke, I want them to implode and manage to make it to 50 years without a trophy and I want them to spend a couple of billion without anything to show for it. But I don't expect Citeh fans to share that view. I expect Citeh fans to accept whatever success comes their way with relish.
I wouldn't want someone with squillions to take us over, just someone who can invest 20-30 million a year on players (i.e not one player, a few). Moyes has got us on the fringes of the Champions League with minimal investment. This year we've easily competed with the top 5/6 when playing them (bar Arsenal). We'd need more than that to have a go at winning the league but I'd suggest that kind of investment (and telling Dithering Dave to be more positive!), we'd break into the top 4.
