Personally, as an Evertonian, I think I'd be appalled if we were taken over and had the soul ripped out of our club in the manner that City have in recent years.....Also, their behaviour in the transfer market has been nothing short of embarrassing, and coupled with their treatment of Mark Hughes, shows little class.
For all of Bill Kenwright's inability in financing our club, in this day and age, I think Evertonians can have a little pride in the fact that they have an owner who at least realises the importance of a club to its fans and don't have one who merely treats their club as an expensive plaything.
I do appreciate that City fans will be enjoying their recent resurgance, after years of being a laughing stock to most of English football, but I know that in some older, more traditional City fans, there is a twinge of unease in how they have gained this success.
