Liverpool under Dalgleish haven't done anything special and I can't believe none of the pundits have mentioned it. They have never had a really poor season from start to finish, they always have a really fantastic spell somewhere in the season which gives them renewed hope that a return to relevance is coming 'next season'. It just never materialises and come Christmas 11 Liverpool will be 10+ points behind top spot.

I know what you mean, but you do Dalglish a slight injustice, as he has done a good job of shaking up, what was obviously, a sulking bunch of footballers.

I still feel a bit sorry for Roy Hodgson, who is no worse a boss than Dalglish....He just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.....It would have needed a miracle worker to shake up that early season Liverpool side from its Rafa-induced slumber - If Kenny had took charge in August, he'd have been in rehab by Christmas!!

I don't see what he's done that's so impressive tbh mate, he's got a group of players doing what they're paid to do. I don't believe if Dalglish had the same squad in August as Hodgson did he'd have done much better. They are playing a lot better now under Dalglish than Woy but he's done nothing special yet.

Have to disagree about King Kev Dan, he totally transformed Newcastle from 1992-1997. When he left in early 1997 NUFC had one of the best squad's in Europe, he laid a platform for Daglish to lead them to titles and cups (but Daglish f****d it all up).

Second time around he wasn't able to do things his way (which as a manager you should have full control), due to the likes of Dennis Wise.

I meant it more in the sense of how the fans/media reacted to his constant return as manager eventhough the time before that he'd win feck all with them. I see what you mean and he did have a good squad and have them playing well but managers are judged on what they win and time and again he won nothing but was still idolised the next time he came back.

I've just put a bet on that Liverpool will win the league next season at 14/1 for those that don't understand betting it means if you bet £10 you lose £10
