Hines is making a nuisance of himself and Skrtel hasn't coped well with him either. He could have been sent off for a number of bad challenges so far.

Torres is making this one still feel like an inevitable liverpool victory though.

We played pretty well today, passed it about pretty well and created a few chances/semi chances, thought Mascherano was much better today but Kuyt was disastrous. Glad he was subbed, was just as shocked as I was glad.

Better performance today, centre backs were sloppy again and we need to sort out the near post defending on set plays, considering we're so bad at them, you'd think we'd be trying really hard but we continually fall asleep.

Theres very little prestige in it - City reached the QFs in the competitions predecessor last year but you would have been hard pressed to read about it.

Its purely a burden and there cannot be any decent return financially - not that that matters anyway at City anymore.

Mocking a fan of a team that isnt playing in such a low prestige comp as the Europa league sounds like a 5 yr old proclaiming that their father is better/bigger, etc etc .

I seem to recall Villa fans admonishing Gareth Barry for wanting to play for a team that had not qualified for this comp and then voila, they are not in it anymore either!

PS: City won their only venture into Europe this season by beating the European Champions 1-0 in their own backyard last month.

Well, they are the away side, not every team can go there and waltz away with four

I expect them to play similarly to how they played against Arsenal. They know United will come out and play and they know they have some clinical players on the counter attack.

I want City to win, but I hope there's a few red cards shown to both sides in the process
