Just the wrong mentality though wasn't it? Once Palace scored their first, Liverpool should have shut up shop but at 2-3 they were still chasing goals.
Souness, the most sensible of the Liverpool media mafia, lambasted City for settling for 0-2 at Palace but tonight showed why that was the right thing to do.
