This was City's big game, they should have played Manucho/Cousin up front and also Mendy and Geo, it should have been a 4-3-3 and took the game to Stoke who were not desperate for the points like City were. Brown is now saying Bolton is a must win, he has lost the plot I reckon, Stoke was a must win and he should have gone all out.
From what I've seen of Hull (which is mainly highlights admittedly) Manucho is garbage and Geovanni has been spectacularly off form recently.
It's no point picking players that aren't doing the business, no matter what position they are.
Liverpool took 12 points from their games with Chelsea and Manchester United. The probability of them repeating that in the coming seasons is very slim indeed.
While Liverpool have improved slightly to probably finish second, United will probably go on to win the treble. The belief that United will gain from winning their third title in a row and second CL in a row will be slightly bigger from Liverpool's mammoth achievement in finishing second, IMNVHO.
We dont need to repeat that to win the league man u proved that this season losing to arsenal and us twice but will still win the prem
More to his game.....much more. Zippy is over-rated..If Fletch was brazilian, spanish etc he'd be classed as top tier..
Fletcher> Mascherano.
So what. I'm sure Joey Barton has more to his game than Mascherano, but what Mascherano does have to his game is so superior to Fletcher it makes him better.
In fact, it's ridiculous comparing them, as Mascherano is a straight defensive midfielder, but Fletcher is more of a box-to-box. Fletcher is superior going forward, but I think Masch is superior defensively.
Each fit to their own teams, Fletcher suits your style more, Masch suits ours more. I'd rather Masch, I think he's world class, and whilst Fletcher's good, I just don't think he's world class.
I'll tell you what pressure is. "Grand final, only seconds to go, and a field goal attempt with a split testicle and your shoes on the wrong feet."

Good solid win for United - the sort we've ground out when not playing all that well, though we do seem to be hitting form at the business end of the season.
Ronaldo? I don't know any United fans who have any great love for him - the general consensus is that he's nothing more than a whiney stroppy little brat, but he's unfortunately too bloody good at football.
As the BBC commentator said, he knew very well the cameras were on him and was playing up like a 2 year-old. If I thought it was due to some passion for United I might forgive him, but I suspect it's simply because he thinks he's waaaay above ever sitting on the bench.
Apparently his mum was at the game to watch him which was the main reason for his strop. From a selfish point of veiw he's chasing the golden boot again and may well have got another goal if he stayed on the pitch. But looking at it from a managers point of veiw the game was won and when your playing against someone like Richard Dunne theres every posibility that you could be leaving the ground on crutches
IMO it showed that he has passion for the club and has gotten his love for football back as he looked disinterested early on in the year i for one hope he stays.
As for Tevez he's a good solid player but i wouldn't pay anywhere near the ammount MSI have him valued at. What we need is a 20-25 goal a season striker something that Tevez will never be thats why SAF brought in Berbatov who has had a dissapointing first year but over the season i've noticed he's changed his style of play from hanging around up front for 90 minutes to a player who now tracks back and helps in build up play and hopefully we'll see him back to his best next season. Also read last week that Goran Pandev is out of contract at Lazio and theres a good chance he will replace Tevez and from what i've seen is a good player and again will offer us something different uptop.

From what i've seen of him i'd say he'd offer something different to Tevez which we need as we already have Rooney who plays deep and chases every lost cause and i'd rather have Rooney in my team, Berba offers the team something different again ok he doesn't have the work rate of a Rooney or Tevez but has a high level of skill and once settled next year i expect a decent goal return. Rooney and Berba are the two 1st choice strikers so to splash out £30m on a bench player is daft and i can't see Fergie entertain paying that ammount. If we can get Pandev on a free transfair he'd make a perfect back up striker and from what i've seen he's scored some cracking goals, you also have to rememeber we have Macheada and Welbeck as back up (Cambell is off to Wigan apparently as part of the Valencia deal) also Ronaldo can play as a striker if needed.
Sheffield United strikers Darius Henderson and Jamie Ward, who started the first match, are replaced by Craig Beattie and David Cotterill.
Preston's Neil Mellor and Darren Carter are replaced by Chris Brown and Barry Nicholson in the starting XI.
