Typical BBC. I tune in to the Football League Show and first up is Cardiff v Reading. The commentator builds the game up well and then states that should Cardiff win it will set up an all Wales final.

Looked like Stoke just wanted to get the game out of the way yesterday. But I wouldnt bet against them putting in a decent final performance in front of their own fans. They'll be glad to be back on a narrow pitch if nothing else.

It could come down to which of Wigan, Bpool & Bham loses by the fewest.

I got laughed at a couple of years ago for saying that Torres was a one season wonder and now look at him. Looks like I was right all along

I think it was Rob who alluded to it earlier. I think Torres needs the right type of player around him. At LFC he had Gerrard and Benayoun. At Chelsea he has no real creative midfielder. All Lampard does is score pens and drives from edge of the box. Not a creative midfielder in the Gerrard mould.

Chelsea since Mourinho in 2005 have played with their striker coming towards the ball, it took Anelka time to come to terms with this (check his first season when he signed in January I think 2008, 1 in 14, sound familiar) then after an off season I think he was top scorer in the Premiership the following season. For the old 'on the shoulder' strikers like Anelka & Torres I don't think there's a club in world football that play more of a contrasting style, so it will take some getting used to, or Chelsea to change, for the first time in what will be 7 years.

Anelka now drops very deep, is very comfortable involved in the build up play etc which is very different to the player he was in his early years. He obviously worked out what he needed to do, to be a success. Torres will simply have to do the same.
