OK then, see also Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Steven Gerrard, Rio Ferdinand to name just a few.

International football is awful. If a player can play so well so consistently for a top club side in Europe is enough to be deemed World Class.

Pretty much sums it for me.

Robbo - Lampard is world class.

I just dont see it. Tidy footballer with a decent all-round skill set who gets more than his fair share of goals (usually because he has had far more shots than anyone else) playing for a dominant team. I just dont rate him as World Class.

But CR7 used to have by far and out the most shots in the England, but always scored the most. Surely you must credit Lampard for getting in positions to shoot and score goals?

A lad I know from school who plays for Chesterfield's Academy has had a trial with Newcastle this week, not sure how it went but he's one of the most promising football prospects the school has ever had. A couple years ago someone in my year declined a trial with Preston, and the 1st team coach taught Jonathan Forte (Of Sheffield United & Scunthorpe)

Yes I credit his teams mates for creating him the space to shoot from 30 yards. He actually has a very similar technique as Ronaldo when shooting, hit it as hard as you can in the rough direction of the goal.
