That's drivel of the highest order and you know it. Torres didn't link the play well because he doesn't ever link the play well. Pretty much every week on MOTD, since he moved to Chelsea, the after-game debate was showing how woefully out of form Torres was. His erratic playing time confirms how poor his form's been, Ancelotti persisted with him but he proved to be fruitless.

Just because Yossi's been injured, doesn't necessarily make him a poorer signing than Torres. Consider other things like transfer fee, wages and expected level of performance. You've got your head buried if you don't get why he's been the worst signing in Europe this year.

Andy Carroll has also been a crap signing. £35 million for a player with no touch? Crouch is better.

If they won it, fair enough, if they got to the final, fair enough, but they only qualified for the thing. Qualifying for a competition doesn't mean souvenir watches need to be released, it's pathetically small-time.

I know you're looking for a bite, so I'll give you a nibble. He'll do really well for us next year IMO, especially when we get a couple of wingers/full backs in to provide his type of service.

You should see the crap England, Spain and plenty other countries come up with when they qualify for the world cup. Small time?

But I think all 4 will be better judged next year. Boateng, Kolarov, and Balotelli all had truncated pre seasons and then immediately picked up moderately serious injuries. Dzeko has been the classic January transfer window signing. They've been off the pace this season but all showed flashes of ability.

Boateng's probably done enough to show that he'll never be a top full back (the surprise being that he did so well for Germany in the World Cup) but I wouldnt be surprised if he eventually turned into a world class centre back. I hope he doesnt go back to Germany.
