Here's one for EE, or any of the other city fans:-

Radio Manchester's phone in had city fans queueing up to slag off Robinho. Not just for Sunday but for the season. They can't all of been moustache sporting, white denim jean wearing numpties from Cheadle - some of them were proper blues.

What is the verdict on his 1st season in England and do people thing he'll stay?*

*Ashley Young need not be brought up.

Really enjoyed watching him play before Xmas. Not so much the tricks and stepovers, more his vision. He sees passes and options way before most other players. Very disappointing since Xmas. Dont really think playing him wide on the left helps, make it too easy for him to be marked out of the game. His away form has been terrible but, inititally at least, that was partly due to City's inability to provide any service whatsoever. Would have liked to see him play alongside a Santa Cruz type front man, unfortunately we dont have one.

At the moment he just seems to be treading water waiting for some more big names to arrive. He's stopped making the runs and passes that highlighted his early matches. You get the impression that, with the exception of Stevie Ireland, he doesnt rate the other City players' ability to see the options and make the paases or runs to get the best out of him.

As for his future, it really depends on how committed to the club he is. At the moment I'd be reluctantly tempted to get rid, but it really depends on which other players are signed in summer and whether City could put together a balanced team that could get the best out of him.

to be fair, they have a product to promote, whoever it was coming up on the rails, they would be prattling on about them.

Every club seems to think Gray and Tyler hate them, and love [insert your team of loathing here] , the only one you get true transparency with is Alan Greene,

Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.

AS I have mentioned many times before Keith, yet you chose to ignore; it has nothing to do with who he is commentating on, it is his style. It is all about his opinion of the game, not actually commentating on what is happening on the pitch.

For him to have been on radio for so long, with not a sniff of TV work proves my point entirely. Jesus, even Jonathan Pearce can get on MOTD nowdays.

and Motson is still there, I don't think Motson is biased, but his inane ramblings, and trivia are awful

I know I have posted before but I genuinley spat out my beer when commentating on the WC final a few years back after Ronaldo scored he actually said words to this effect '4 years ago he had a seizure, this time he seizes the moment / opportunity'

I haven't ignored anything. I don't even listen to 5 live so don't hear his commentaries or his 606 program, if he still does it. He doesn't bother me and I don't understand why people still listen to him if he still bothers them.

I wouldn't dream of tuning in to a program that had Paddy Crerand or Mickey Thomas on it. The fact the latter can't even speak properly has nothing to do it with it, like Crerand, he's just a WUM although I think Crerand believes 95% of the crap he comes out with.

Is it some kind of coincidence that it seems 90% of complaints against Green comes from Man U fans? I don't really hear other club fans being so wound up from him.

As I say, if he winds mancs up, then there's nowt wrong with him.

Personally, going back to TV commentary, I wish I had the option just to have the crowd noise and no commentary, but I don't, so if I want to watch I have to put up with it. Saying that, Setanta stretched me too far this season so I've knobbed them off.

In the main it is Hobson's Choice. BBC have the rights to the games so invariably they will have it covered. Fair comment in respect of Setanta, Burley has picked up the baton from Gray as the nobhead know-it-all, which is a shame as they have a cracking commentator in Jon Champion.

In fact, when you think about it Green would be ideal for Sky; all hyperbole and no substance.
