I think we can play better. Certainly defensively and there's a few players who can add a lot more to the attacking side of the team.
I don't think you give Valencia enough credit, sure he was a surprise signing to "replace" Ronaldo, but after a slow start to the season I think he's come on loads. He's added goals to his game and he's got a decent ball on him. I'd like to see him attack defences more, but all in all I'm pretty happy with his contribution so far this season, he's certainly been one of our better players.
You didn't do much wrong defensively (Rafel your obvious weak link), but I think that was probably helped by our lack of ambition.
IMO Valencia is one small rung above a 'solid' rating. He is quick and does have a shot on him but his decision-making is questionable and he struggles to link up with other players / bring others into the game. IMO with the way United play, they need a 'clever' winger. Someone like a Pires of 4 or 5 years ago, Arshavin or even a Modric.

I thought Rafael was much better on Wednesday than he was in the first leg. I put that down to the fact that he was playing alongside Rio. With Brown and Evans at his side, he wasn't getting any communication / help. I think he'll turn into a great player for us. We've had to rely on him more often than I imagine Fergie would have liked to, with the injury to O'Shea, but I've noticed an improvement since he first played. The more game time he gets alongside Vida and Rio the better, as he'll be able to develop his game.

I'd love Arshavin or Modric at United, I've said all season that we need a great winger, but it won't happen. I'd like to see Milner at United, I think he's a great player, he's like a mould of Valencia, Park and Nani together and he can play anywhere across the midfield.
I'm happy with Valencia, hopefully he continues to develop and improve as he has done so far, but he's much better at creating things than Park, he's hardworking, and he offers something different to Nani.
Watching the influence of Giggs on Weds proves how much we need to get a decent replacement in, because none of our wingers offer what he does.
You didn't notice him run over and pick up the coins and a bottle, then dispose of them, before the ref got there. Even Barry refused to give one of the coins to Van De Saar as he knew what the goalkeeper was up to. Now I can understand club bias (I don't understand why you support United but that's another issue) but your claim is nonsense.
We can play better than last night. No doubt about it. Can United play any better? Certainly not much better. When you get your stars in like Anderson (I told everyone on here he was terrible - took some of you two years to notice), Smalling and Valencia, maybe you will be even better. Those three are genuine world class talent.
You also told us Elano and Robinho were world beaters...nuff said.

Robinho is still an amazing footballer. I wouldn't say he's quite gone off the rails yet, certainly not in the way Adriano did but if he wants to make his move to Brazil permanent, I would worry. He's a fantastic player, on his day, he has a level of ability that puts him above most, the talent only players like Messi and Ronaldinho possess, that ability to produce something from nothing at the highest level, he has it in him but he doesn't produce it anywhere near enough, is that an ability thing or a motivational thing? I think it's the latter to be honest. I still think Robinho, based on pure talent, is the best player at City, but I'm unsure if he's cut out for English football. I'd love to see him in a Barcelona shirt, but he seriously needs to sort his head and ego out.
