I think either us or you. Going to Anfield is probably just sideways move though. No european football etc.

Agreed. Although I think Spurs might come in for him, they came in for him in Janurary at about five minutes to 11 before it ended. 'Arry will sign anybody who can kick a ball.

If you won't give a manager long term backing, you aint going to achieve any long term goals.

We had a manager who should have been given long term backing. We should have chained him to Stamford Bridge. Instead we ran him off. I've said it before, I'll say it again - that was one of the dumbest decisions in football history.

We've had another manager who deserved the same backing. But he was only a short term appointment and wouldn't take the job permenantly.

None of the other managers have deserved that long term backing.

Ferguson has been given long term backing because he's deserved it. He's an exceptional manager and has proved it throughout his career. That's why he's been given that backing. Same with Wenger, although the situation is different. Avram Grant, Scolari, Ancelotti simply haven't shown that they deserve anything like that level of backing. In Ancelotti's two years at Chelsea he simply hasn't shown enough to warrant keeping the job.
