Yeah I have to say I was surprised, but I suppose it's only early season. I do wonder if he could be a good outside bet for the yellow at the TDF. Especially with the TT elements to it, plus he can climb as when he won the white jersey the other year. Another point is that he's not wasting energy leading Cav out now this season. He did a shed load of work for HTC. He's something like 60-80/1

With the amount of TT in the tour, you may have a point. Depends what Omega Quick-Step's priorities are. Vandenbergh, Chavanel for GC or Boonen for points?

On a side note, the Velits boys are at Omega. The last two teams they've been with have folded.

I think Boonens priorities for the season will be heavily 'spring classics' based. Boonen does not have it in him for the points jersey anymore at the Tour. Quality rider but too scared of the big bunch sprints.

As for Das Panzerwagon at 60-80/1 I would most certainly be having some each way action on that. I see the podium at the Tour being quite different from recent years.

Boonen got done over today. It waS great to see what he thought was gonna be a walk over get taken away from him at the line.
Good 3rd place for flecha.

It wass a great feed with flemish commentary. Couldn't understand a bloody word but sounded great lol

I'm just glad the classics season has started

Great win by Sky yestered day at KBK. Only got to watch the last few k on a recorded stream. But apparently sky totally dominated the peloton and brought back the break to put cav across the line.

The classics are starting well

I really wish Eurosport would cover the early season semi classics. Failing that I need to get access to Forza. Listening to the Velocast it sounds like you can pretty much understand Flemish most of the time anyway.

Great win by Cav. Once of his stated aims down for the early season - two to go in Milan - San Remo and Ghent - Wevelgem. I wouldn't bet against him.

Some great racing on at the weekend with Paris-Nice starting and the Strada Bianchi. I think Tony Martin/Bradley Wiggins will win Paris Nice.

I just google the name of the race when its not on eurosport and it always brings up streaming site for races. Easy peasey

Race to the Sun . That will teach me to remove wiggo and add sprinters for the first day.

Great racing by Wiggo to hit the breakaway as the peloton got ripped to shreds by head winds/ cross winds. There were groups all over the place

Valverde looking very handily placed in Paris-Nice. Sky will probably look to let today's break hoover up the bonus seconds, but it's a risky strategy.

Saw some brief highlights of the Strade Bianchi after the end of the Paris-Nice stage. Cancellara just effed off into the sunset with 10km to go and TT'd it to the finish. Incredible stuff, especially as he was cornering quicker than the commissaire's car and only some smart driving avoided taking him out.

It is Wiggins race to lose but the poodle haired pr@ck Valverde knows how to win a race.

It needs Sky to pull on a brutal climb in the way they did during the Vuelta last year. Valverde knows how to attack and take time.

Enough time to neutralise the final TT? Not sure. My heart says Wiggins but my head says Valverde.
