Of the team to play the first Euro game, how many could you definitely name now (injuries permitting).

Probably Hart, Cole and Parker and that would be it, so I'd sway towards Scott Parker

If Parker is consistently picked, then I would go for him, but other than Hart, I can't think of anyone else that is guaranteed a spot in the team for the next 2-3 years with the age of the rest of the team.

Would be Parker for me, more experienced and I'm not a fan of having goal keepers as captains, much prefer an outfield player.

As would I, but with the team as it is now, and the age of the players in the current squad, who is gonna be around for the next 3 or 4 years+ and has leadership material in them?

Here's a novel idea. Why not pick the best XI for each particular game, then decide who the captain is going to be out of that?

Why do we need to have a regular England captain, who then must be picked irrespective of form?
