Vital win for Celtic today, to be any further behind us would be disastrous. It could be back down to a 1 point lead if they beat Motherwell on Wednesday. Marcus Bent been linked to Rangers, although Smith has denied it.

A vital win for us today and we were very lucky to pick up the win Scott McDonalds goal was dubious and Falkirk had two good shouts for penalties turned down. Apparently we have pulled off some what of a big coup by signing Middlesbrough striker Ben Hutchinson on a pre-contract deal and Strachan has stated he is keen to buy players who are investments for the future.

We are also closing in on a deal to sign Polish international left-back Seweryn Gancarczyk from Metalist Kharkiv, Gancarczyk will train at Lennoxtown this week with a view to proving he can win a £750,000 switch to the SPL with speculation Lee Naylor could be on his way to Portsmoth for around £3 million. Maciej Zurawski looks set to be on his way out in January with Columbus Crew now showing an interest aswell as LA Galaxy.
Celtic have also offered American goalkeeper Brad Guzan who plays for Chivas in the MLS a contract but Gordon Strachan has dismissed speculation that the move increases the chances of Artur Boruc leaving.

Celtic have signed Japanese midfielder Koki Mizuno on a three-and-a-half year contract with Georgios Samaras agreeing a loan deal from Manchester City. Celtic manager Gordon Strachan has been given a four-match touchline ban following a heated exchange with a steward against Aberdeen in August.
