From memory, which is very fallible, I think it was worse than that. I think he basically said that United should let him go and how United keeping him was a form of slavery. (Just found out it was Sepp Blatter who said that - UEFA's Gaillard actually said something against Blatter's comments.)

as a manchester united fan i am upset we are going to lose ronaldo but the up side is that the money is there for fergie to spend and shouls snap tevez up and then try and sign ribery as the replacement for ronaldo.
for the premiership to lose a player of ronaldo's ability is a lose for the prem and a gain for the spanish game.
