I wouldnt bet on them coming straight back up especially with players like barton if he is still there

Well having watched 3 of the 4 sides around us this weekend i am of the opinion it's not going to take a great deal to survive. Boro, Newcastle and Sunderland were all woeful, and while our run of form hasn't been too great, we haven't played as bad as what Toon and the Mackems did yesterday.

3 points will be enough. Whether they'll come tonight is another thing.

I thought they were due a good season, but as soon as Keegan left you couldn't help but think another Ashley f'uck up was going to cost them.

I read in one of the papers yesterday that Mike Ashley only held a crisis meeting last monday night to talk about who may lose their jobs around the club e.t.c so im guessing even he thought the mighty Shearer would get them out of the mess they are in, just shows the guy is clueless in my eyes

Barton - tool. Coloccini - clown. Owen - at the bank. A midfield of Smith, Barton and Butt was just asking for trouble.

That was the worst defensive display I've seen since, well...the last time Newcastle played.

I know that Benayouns goal was offside but there was a "defender" right behind him stood there like a scarecrow if he knew what he was doing benayoun wouldnt have had the chance to score anyway
