The closeness of the scoreline today powders over the cracks in the City warship. They were terrible. Defensively abysmal and in attack they would have come up with nothing were it not for so many glaring errors from United players. Credit to Bellamy though for a great strike with his first. His second was pathetic though, he over ran it but the keeper dived too far and left him an open goal.

The 97th minute winner said it all about City's performance. They could keep the ball if their lives depended on it and despite only having to deal with weak long balls they couldn't manage it and somehow despite having a defense costing £100m they could mark one of the most deadly finishers in the history of the Premier League.

The referee obviously signalled a MINIMUM of 4 which was portrayed to the 4th official. Once it's gone it can't be changed whether it's already displayed or not.

Bellamy scored with 5 seconds of normal time remaining, therefore his celebration ran into the alloted MINUMUM 4 minutes of added time. I'm not sure if Hughes made a substitution after the goal as well but if he did that time will also have been added on to the MINIMUM of 4 already displayed.

I think the point is the ref would have already told the 4th official how much added time he was going to allow but with that goal it would have changed.

That said he did play too much and City were unlucky in that respect.

Still I do not know why anyone needs to know how much time the ref is going to add on and it was better in the old days when you played to the whistle not count down the seconds after the board goes up.

Thing is alot of the time refs don't add all the time on I have seen refs give a corner then blow for full time not letting them take it, the mancs always get that bit extra at OT when they need it an thats because Fergie is on at them with his watch all the time, if refs did this all the time most games would run till the 95th min they dont'.

Yeah but as ive already pointed out, there were 3 other goals with 90 second celebrations in the half which is 4.30 mins alone, them all the subs '30 secs' apparently is the rules....so why didnt the 4th official stick 7 mins on the board...you cant just pick and choose which goal celebration you can add minutes for can you?
