They have reason to be peed off at him when he left Liverpool, but not for accepting the chance to see off his playing career at one of the top clubs in Europe.

When he joined United he said that he would rather be a bit part player at a big club than a regular starter at a smaller club, and you can see why after he stole a winners medal after making one start and scoring one goal all season.

Finally an honest Liverpool fan, who admits it hurts to see Michael Owen playing for Manchester United. Bravo.

I see England's Brave John Terry would be 'happy with Hiddink or Mark Hughes'. I suppose he means he'd be happy until him and his gang run them out of the club because they don't like him

I think most fans would be happy to see Sparky at Stamford Bridge... especially those of United, Arsenal, Spurs and City.

He wouldn't last a year at Old Trafford....Player power would see him off.

Do you really think an all-conquering squad of players would put up with the discipline ways of a fella who has a managerial career which has reaped no trophies??

I don't think the board have a clue about running a football club, but if would be a shock if Hughes was even being considered for the job.

It has been said that Hughes is being lined up with a DoF position. I don't really agree with the DoF position and don't see why Hughes would want it anyway. He's still in the beginning stages of his managerial career, it would be daft for him to become a DoF when he surely wants to rise as a manager.

I also don't think having an alternative manager waiting in the wings will ever work at Stamford Bridge. If we were to have a DoF then it should be someone with brilliant credentials and the desire to work that role. It shouldn't be someone who's just in place to take over when things go wrong with the boss. because our players will just use him to unsettle the manager in charge.

You have missed one. When asked does winning the league justify his decision to sign for MUFC his response was:

"If you can't beat em, join em."
