Formerly The Independent Republic of Bongs....now Hull

: Mon May 04, 2009 11:20 am
The thing is, if you look at the fixtures, we should still be fine. The only game I could see Hull getting anything out of is the Stoke game, and with their form I just dont see it. Boro are sunk, so its up to us to win at least one of our home games. But we don't look like being anywhere near doing that. We don't deserve to stay up after the way we've played. The Liverpool game was to be expected, but the Pompey game was horrific, they didnt even fight and its appalling to watch. If we somehow manage to beat Boro and maybe get something at home to Fulham then we'd do it, but it would only be because of the appalling standards of the clubs around us

There is no fight mate, like i say, from the way the players play, you wouldnt know that we are 18th in the league.

We've only won 6 times all season, which is the worst record in the league. We have scored 4 goals in 10 games.
:?

saw the game at anfield and that was one of the most lacklustre performances i've ever seen from a premier league side.
viduka spent most of the match moaning and gave up on balls far too easily.
i think there's a lot of dead wood at newcastle and when/if you go down it will be the perfect opportunity to have a fire sale, get rid and start again.

It was Viduka who decided to head the ball back into the danger zone for their first goal yesterday, no idea what he was trying to do.

Well having watched 3 of the 4 sides around us this weekend i am of the opinion it's not going to take a great deal to survive. Boro, Newcastle and Sunderland were all woeful, and while our run of form hasn't been too great, we haven't played as bad as what Toon and the Mackems did yesterday.

3 points will be enough. Whether they'll come tonight is another thing.

Indeed

Middlesbrough and Newcastle are just as bad as us infront of goal from what ive seen and also we are a bit stronger at the back, The game between them two next week will have a huge say on who gos down, A draw could send both down imo especially if we get somthing out of either tonight or against Stoke

Villa havent been playing very well last month or so and if they keep that up tonight and IF we play like we did against Liverpool theres no reason why we cant nick a point tonight :)

I think Hull might get something tonight. Even if they only get a point you are well and truly under the cosh.
