I agree, although a cheeky bid for Ashley Young might be worth a flutter.
Outstanding sig.
As for Young, I like him and I think he should try and move to a bigger club. I think he's struggled at times this year due to MON not investing in depth, and their stupendously long season. If he was at a bigger club and was able to be rotated and rested, he could well prove to be a top player. Maybe not world class, but I think he has the potential to get to the level of somebody like Joe Cole.
True, briefly on trial, but they were obviously no judge of a player. The rest is history.
I think Trevor Francis was manager at that time. The trial was hampered by the fact that heavy snow meant that time to look at him was cut short. Wednesday asked for him to stay on, he walked because he said they'd had enough time.
Just reading Cantona's wikipedia page. Punching team mates, kicking the ball into the crowd, ripping off his shirt when subbed, insulting his national team coach on TV, throwing his boots in a team mates face, throwing the ball at a ref, calling members of the disciplinary committee idiots.
That's even before he got himself sent off and decided to attack a fan who was abusing him as he trudged off the field.
He had as much class as Joey Barton. And if he hadn't been made by Manchester United, he'd have been regarded as being just as bad as him.
One big difference is that Cantona could play football. When he was on the field you knew something could happen, in someways Ronaldo is the first United player to have that effect since King Eric.

Rooney will be played in the hole hopefully, Nani may step up also I still feel we need more creativity in midfield.

I think Carrick's pretty creative, you could do with Hargreaves back to add a bit more pace, and the anchor man in the middle. With this probably being Scholes' last season, a playmaker is definitely required. Somebody like David Silva could replace him, but he's a player you'd have to build your side around to get the best out of, he'd be better in a 4-2-3-1 formation in the hole, but I can't see Rooney's career as a '9'.
How Fergie must rue Aaron Ramsey signing for Arsenal, could have been a replacement for Scholes in the coming years.
