Why has Joe Hart suddenly been deemed this God amongst insects?
I have a mate who supports City, we went into Manchester recently and he was bigging up Citeh and their signings, as they do. But then he said Hart was better than Reina, which I found unbelievably odd, because, even as a joke, it wasn't funny, it was just outright strange. I can't think of anything Hart is better than Reina at, maybe City fans will enlighten us? Maybe they will get those legendary alleged quotes from Iker Casillas?

He's playing well to be fair to him. Clearly the best English keeper and the best in the Premier League behind Tim Howard probably.

Liverpool fans would never do that, would they? When are they due to win the league? January? I guess you also think Suarez is the best player ever.
You appear to be increasingly bitter to City and the club’s fans. If you have a problem with City fans tell your mate and City fans face-to-face rather than being a soft lad coming on here behind your internet profile.
When you refer to what Casillias said, I can only assume you are referring to the time the Spaniard said that he is a talent who may benefit from playing at a big club. I don’t know of anything else he has said. I don’t know exactly what was said, so I am unable to back-up your mate.
Joe Hart is a very good young keeper who appears to be continually improving. He made some shocking mistakes last year but then Reina is hardly ‘safe hands’, is he? He was poor in his first year or two in the PL. Certainly not as good as Hart was in his first two full seasons.
I would say that Hart and Reina are about the same level but Hart has more improvement in him. Hart’s strengths are one-on-one, decision-maiking (esp when you consider he is young)
As for De Gaea…he seems to be slow at getting down to the ball and it looks like he will get crucified against a team who puts crosses/corners underneath the crossbar. His decision-making is questionable (he’s young after all) and he looks physically weak. These issues can be resolved though. Looking forward to see how he handles Huth and Shawcross.

I look forward to your replies, generally because they're well-balanced. You obviously didn't see much of Reina as he's been outstanding ever since he arrived with us. The weaknesses he arrived with have now been removed and he's arguably the most complete goalkeeper in Europe. There were a few media myths that he was crap and so on, largely due to one howler against Everton when we were already two down, but he was always class. He was far better than Hart was in Hart's first few seasons, that's why Reina stayed at Liverpool when we were competing for CL's and lingering just outside of the title race, whilst Hart was loaned out and had Shay Given of all people put in front of him. Given is, by the way, abysmal.
As I said, I think Hart is a good 'keeper, I felt he was a bit so so early on, I wasn't sure if he was going to become a first choice player or if he'd end up the way of Kasper, but I do believe Reina is on that 'level above' a player like Hart. Hart's a top player, but Reina's a top 3 'keeper in the world (IMO, the best, but I'm slightly biased), and he's proved that consistently over the past 5 years or so. We're lucky to have him, as he could probably have gone to Arsenal or United if the club allowed the approach.
As for hiding behind my profile, I don't really know what you mean? What do you want me to say to the face of a City fan? That Reina is better than Hart? I would stand in the middle of the Etihad and bellow it across the stadium if the chance arisen.
The Casillas quotes I'm talking about were allegedly from a collection of made up quotes from the Daily Star. The quotes were along the lines of "Hart will become the best 'keeper in the world when I'm in my 30's, he has natural attributes you just can't learn".
Second youngest team in Utds history apparently last night. Not bad for a club in decline. Wish we could be more like the real Manchester club.
You have to drop this 'real ' thing as a jibe. United are not based in Manchester. It's a fact that is not open to interpretation.
Mate, United played very well against Spurs last night. Just as they did in the Community Shield, United played with urgency, pace and excellent movement.
However, you cannot honestly say that Smalling, Evans and Jones will ever be as good as Ferdinand and Vidic, and that Cleverley will ever be as effective as Scholes, and that Ashley Young will be good enough to lace Giggs' boots. There is no doubt in my mind you will be weaker. As a team, I would prefer to make a judgement after a few more games. You look at the likes of Young and Wellbeck, and they have only produced in a few games.
I feel that there is a lack of creativity in eth team and that you will find it harder this season when teams sit back against you. West Brom were well-organised defensively and you looked toothless.

Always provokes a response though. Most city fans I know are embarrassed about 'the only team to come from Manchester' jibes towards Utd fans. Especially now they are likely to be challenging Utd on the trophy front.
Regarding the rest of your post, people were questioning Beckham/Giggs/Scholes etc when they first broke through. Didn't do too bad though did they?
