Can't stand him as a player but he's never struck me as a proper pr*ck, so I was pretty happy for him when he scored, despite wanting him off a few minutes after he came on.
As I said before, I think the turning point in the game was Diame coming off. He was in Allen's face all game and it really restricted our ability to pass the ball forward. He covers so much ground at such an intensity, he could be lethal in the right side. The right type of manager could easily turn him into an Essien type of 'engine', if you will, he's got everything physically whilst he didn't seem too shabby a player yesterday either.
I've got to admit, I'm too busy watching my team to even notice what any of the opponents do, but he's been widely credited with changing the game against us a couple of weeks ago. In the first half we were totally on top, it was a joke we only went in 1-0 up. He came on at half time, we didn't deal, and lost 3-1.
I think Cole not celebrating is totally down to him showing respect to West Ham. Cole's career desperately needs every positive he can muster, so his goal would have been more wanted than anyone else's, but even despite that he chose to hold his celebration.
Cole always came across as a pretty good guy who loves football, just very dim.
