At the time, for me, it was his attitude towards the club it seemed like he had no respect for Moyes or the club the way he went about getting his move. City seemed arrogant in the sense that it was a case of we're loaded we'll sign him if we want, I think that irratated a lot of people in the club, especially the fans. Also I think a lot, me included, it signalled a sign of the modern times that we were, certainly in a financial sense, taken over by City - it was hard to see a player demand to leave to move to you meaning we were really being left behind.
