Only time the packers have trailed in the 4th quarter this season. Still something Rodgers doesn't do well. Been telling you for a couple of years.
Firstly, congratulations to the Chiefs. They are IMO a terrible team but they played very well today, especially on defence.
Our offence never got going. We are missing Jennings but that is no excuse, we still should have had more than enough to defeat the Chiefs.
Defence has been terrible all year but still getting the turnovers. Dom Capers has some work to do because the yards we are giving up, to KYLE ORTON, is ridiculous.
I know your looking for a bite Mark so i'll indulge you. The 4th Quarter comeback stat is something I really dislike. For example Freeman gets credit for leading x number of 4QC's but being shocking for the other 3. Rodgers has no 4QC's because for the most part we are never trailing at all/trailing by that much. Atlanta this year was the first time we trailed by 2 scores or more in over a year.
So yes, Rodgers "doesn't do well" at 4QC's because we rarely need them or something else goes wrong after Rodgers has got us ahead (I'm pretty sure we went through a run last year of 2 or 3 games in a row where Rodgers put us ahead only for it to go to OT and us to lose by a FG- Redskins and Dolphins i think).
Anyway it isn't the end of the world. We are still the best team. Get some momentum back in the next two weeks. Secure homefield. Go 18-1. No big deal.
It was a tongue n cheek remark. Rodgers has shown his class the past year. Although, I think he turned the ball over in those games when he had the chance to win, I know for sure the Redskins game he turned it over in OT. The 4th quarter stat is relevant though as some teams don't have the supporting cast that others do.
Redskins game -
After both teams failed to score on their first drives of the overtime period, Green Bay took over on its own 19 yard line. QB Aaron Rodgers hit Brandon Jackson for five yards on first down, but on second down as he rolled out he was pressured by defensive tackle Jeremy Jarmon.
Landry made a sliding interception of Rodgers' pass. The replay review upheld the interception though it nullified Landry's 23-yard return
Dolphins game -
had the ball in OT but couldn't drive downfield and they had to punt.
Cardinals game -
Fumbled the ball for a Cards TD.
Chiefs game -
Trailing 9-7 going into the fourth he couldn't overcome that deficit.
I still think you're correct about him being the best in the game though, just a wrinkle that he could be better at. Even the best have a weakness.
