Looks like no-one wants the #1 seed in the AFC so guess we will have to take it

Am I right in thinking the Rams now have the #1 pick in the draft if they don't win a game? Sure I read that somewhere the other day?

If they are they can get a lot of picks out of someone for it.

I'd love to know what the Colts' record would have been had Orlovsky played all year. We'd certainly have won a few more games I'm sure of that!

Pretty certain the Vikings are now in the driving seat for the number 1 pick.

Ah forgot all about the Vikings, just read that they would be happy to stick with Ponder and you have Bradford so Indy may get him anyway even if they had the #3 pick.

If I was the Vikings and I had a chance I would pick Luck personally, if he is as good as people keep saying surely they can't pass on him?

Whoever is picking 1 will take Luck (excluding Rams). The rookie pay scale means you can go back to back at QB purely because you aren't as tied to players anymore. Probably a better option than taking a punt on a FA or trading given the amount of money they command now, even average ones. Eg isn't Kolb's deal 70 million? and Fitzpatrick signed a deal with Bills for 60 million (in comparison Rodgers new deal in 08 IIRC after his first year starting was 60 million).

The Vikes saying they'd stick with Ponder IMO is nothing more than a bluff to try and see what teams would offer for the 1st pick. (I'm a fan of Ponder too.)


If it was me I'd trade pick 1 for some picks/players and move down to take RG3 instead of Luck.

Theres murmurings we might take Luck and give up on Bradford. I can't see that happening though to be honest. I hope we trade down but again I doubt we would. Looking at final fixtures for the Colts (@Jax), Vikings (@Skins, Vs Bears) and Rams (@PIT, Vs9ers) I think we look pretty good for the number 1 pick. Absolutely no danger of us getting even remotely close to making it a game against 2 playoff teams

I think Indy are still in the driver's seat for number 1 pick if all three teams lose their remaining games. I kind of hope we manage to nick it now. With Luck the top player on the board, the first pick will have massive trade value, even more so now with the rookie pay scale. The only problem is how far down we'd go and whether we'd miss out on Kalil or Blackmon in the process.
