It doesn't seem to work like that up there, mate. They can lose their best players and it doesn't matter because they were rubbish anyway

Barton and Nolan have been brilliant for Newcastle last season, losing Carroll was a blow but for good money. I'd be really concerned if I was a Newcastle fan losing all those players and had Alan Pardew investing the money into new players.

am i right in thinking that barton scored twice in newcastles comeback draw against arsenal

newcastle fans quickly forget how good players are when they leave. take carroll for and instance great when he was at newcastle the second he left for liverpool rubbish
