How many season tickets did Latics shift?
Wouldn't you rather stay up off your own performances rather than because there are 3 or 4 clubs worse than you? Genuine question as I just can't see the interest for Latics fans this season.

Everton filled their end which for football is about 4800. Add to that a few hundred in the Wigan end here and there and they brought about 5k.

Obv I don't care how we stay up but at the moment it looks like the reason will be because there are sides worse than us rather than us 'earning it'

Let's franchise the Premier League. That way, we wouldn't have to put up with poor excuses of clubs like Wigan, Portsmouth and Hull City.

Although going by that, Liverpool, Man U, Chelsea and Man City are in a bit of a pickle...

I wouldn't mind a wager that there isn't a 'better run' club than us in the PL. We have a manageable debt that we could write off tomorrow, a manageable wage bill and like it or not are in our 5th season in the PL.

Why would the clubs you mention be in a pickle because of franchising?

If the FA want to screw the PL they should bring in franchising. There is absolutely nothing wrong with smaller clubs being their by merit, but there is something massively wrong with having awful teams being kept in because they have big gates.
