Real Madrid's second last night was a gem. Started with a Casillas throw out and finished off with a crisp Benzema finish. From start to finish the whole move must have taken less than ten seconds and Guti's final pass... quality

Guti's one of the best players of a killer ball I've ever seen, just a shame he's been so inconsistent. On his day, he's one of my favourite players to watch.

If he stayed on his feet once in a while, he could be a world-beater. Gravity just seems to affect him more than anyone else currently playing in Europe at the moment.
The acid test will come when he goes from big fish in small pond to that same fish in shark-infested waters.

I've always felt he lacks that extra yard of pace, I've not seem him loads so I'm not best to judge, but I feel if he had an extra yard or two of pace, he'd already be out of Holland.

It's a fair point. He reads a game well, and in the Eredivisie that can make up for a lack of pace. He's unlikely to ever run around the outside of the top defenders, put it that way, but he can just ghost into positions unnoticed. And then fall over.

Like the Premier League banded together to help out Kings Lynn who went under for less than one player's weekly wage? <countless other examples to be inserted here>

What it would define, not that it's going to happen, is the Premier League looking after their own, oblivious to consequence, and feck everybody else.
