I think he can come back, but his approach will have to be different. The only problem is the last 17 fights have been about progression and he'll have to now start from scratch.

When Lennox Lewis got chinned by Oliver McCall his stock remained high and i think the general feeling was McCall got lucky, Khan wont have the same sympathy because in world terms he's a nobody who's been mullered in his first real test against a genuine KO puncher.

I have said since day one Khan is not top quality.

They have, and arguably rightly so, put him in against no bodies for the first 15 fights of his career, and then the other 3 weren't much of an improvement.

Anyone with hand speed can go in and hit what is effectively a punch bag on legs.

I have said though, put him in against a South American who can hit back and we'll see that he is nothing but an average boxer, and tonight proved it.

He is an arrogant young man, for example when he used to lower his hands and say "bring it" to lesser opponents; idiot.

If he had the right attitude tonight could be the making of Khan, however I see it more as the breaking.

Nah mate, not for me.

Ever since Willie Limond put him on the canvas I've had doubts over him stepping up in class. The sad thing for Khan aswell, is that the size he is and the age he is I can only see him growing and developing and having to step up in weight, unfortunately for him though his beard won't grow stronger with the rest of his body.

The higher he goes up in weight and class the harder the punches coming from the opponents.

He's now been put on the deck by feather fists Limond, a past it Gomez and absolutely knocked senseless by someone who no-one has heard of before.

I've never been as certain of anything in my life before, he may as well hang up his gloves as far as I'm concerned.

You can't get away with the above and then hope to take on fighters in the top tier.

I can't see him coming back in a hurry frin the sickening shots he took tonight. He might not come back at all.

And yet, he's still managed to dupe a lot of people into thinking he's world class. BoxRec, for example, has Khan ranked (7th) above boxers such as David Diaz and Michael Katsidis (Prescott is ranked 109th). The WBO ranks him above Juan Diaz and Yuri Romanov for their lightweight belt.

Steve Bunce put the blame on his new coach Rubio for suggesting Prescott as an opponent. Frank Warren isn't daft; he and cotton wool are well aquainted. This Colombian was a relative unknown. Bunce himself wrote today that he was a one round wonder, yet that's all it took tonight. And to think there were those who wanted Khan matched with Katsidis.
