Lancs have got Essex 78-6 at lunch Jimmy got 3, Chapple 2 and the Sarge the other wicket.

God knows what paltry score we'll get when we bat then!!

Essex skittled for 176, Typically the Lancashire bowlers give the batsmen a superb platform and what do they do? 83/3

So long as we get to 300, and bowl them out cheaply again....then the weather will kick in

What is the point of a nightwatchman?Jimmy goes in and is out before the end of play.I think also the Smith opening experiment should be given up,he didn't do too well in opening in the 4 day game last season and this season he's started even worse.
