You asked what he had to do to get an England call up. I said become a much better player. You hinted that I should explain. So I did.
He isn't good enough. Yes, that's my opinion. You often see those bandied about on internet message forums and I don't see the point in tagging 'IMO' at the end of each post to make that explicit.
However it would appear that my opinion is shared by the numerous England managers who choose not to select Davies for England and select numerous players in front of him. Maybe if there's some sort of flu epidemic he'll get a chance.
I accept that friendlies are about either trying players out or developing systems, tactics, that sort of stuff. However there's no point trying out players just for the sake of it if they're blatantly not good enough. Like Kevin Davies. He's a decent pro and I quite like him as a player - but if he's international class we really should pack in now.
