Having said that, the actual outcome was about as likely as Man Utd getting stuffed 1-4 at home by Liverpool, and Vidic having a 'mare. Which I'm sure you forecast.

read in the paper this morning that of the 28,500 at italy-wales yesterday only 10,000 were general public. anyone know if that's true or not?
the article in the spanish paper said that the majority of the tickets went to italina clubs and their players, staff etc, sponsors and guests.

England were fantastic in the first half against the French. Great performance.

I've seen the tries and I thought that it was another game. England were throwing the ball around and trying to play expansive rugby as opposed to trundling upfield with their forwards.

There's nothing unusual in RU international tickets being distributed through clubs.

one thing i dont get.
ireland have a points difference of +46 and wales +21, so by my reckoning that's ireland ahead by 25.
however i've read this morning that wales only need to win by 13... how does that work?

Bear with me here Vorderman...

Because a Wales win by 13 will reduce Ireland's points difference to +33, but increase Wales's to +34.

As the meerkat says - simples.

As to whether the Irish deserve a Grand Slam, it's a tricky one. They've been the most consistent of an inconsistent bunch this year. I still regard the Irish side - much like Munster - as being the purveyors of anti-rugby based on hammering the ball into the corners and minimising mistakes. They do what they need to win, but I'd rather that honour went to someone like the Welsh or French who actually attempt to play with some flair.
