It's been another good day for Lancs with the score against Essex and the signings of Katich and Chanderpaul,can this be the year that the championship comes to the red rose or will the rain ruin it as usual

Lancs have skittled Essex again for just 173, 38 needed to win their 2nd game from 2 this season!! Moores out

And the 2nds have beaten their equivalents from the Dark Side as well

Good to hear that Yorkshire at least had a crack at chasing down a very unlikely target today.

Hopefully such attacking intentions will be a sign of things to come under Gale's captaincy - McGrath had a tendency to be a bit over-cautious IMO.

Strangely, had they gone after it in the same way that Gale and Rudolph did yesterday in the Pro40 they would probably have made it with time to spare.

380-odd in 91 overs was always going to be a hard ask, but when you're opening with Lyth and Sayers you're hardly going to be getting off to a flyer.
