I'd love to see the Colts, but it'll really have to be an away game, as what is there to do in Indianna besides football, basketball and watching cars go round in a circle?!

For me it was 100% a coincidence. I was on a holiday in Orlando and the company we went with (I think it was Thomsons) had a meeting/induction type thing one morning soon after we arrived. Turns out they were offering trips to all of the Jags pre-season home games and by luck the Packers were down during the time I was there (never even thought to check such stuff in advance). I think it was $90 for the ticket/travel and a meal on the way. Stadium was great and Jags fans were great (got a little bit of banter for wearing a Pack shirt!).

Also got to see Raymond James Stadium from the top of a Tampa Fire Service cherry picker thing on that trip and was delayed due to a hurricane. (Eventful trip!)

I got in to the game through Madden aswell in the late 90's although it was my brother that bought it so I guess you could say it was him that got me into it, I used to think it was crap(before I watched it) but once I started playing Madden and learning the rules I was hooked, I started supporting New England because my brother did and I liked to 'borrow' his jerseys

I didn't watch the game from the start (around 98/99ish) because we didn't have sky and I was still at school and wasn't allowed to watch late on a night (damn parents :DEPRESSED: ), but once I got my own tv in my room they couldn't stop me :) , I have watched it as much as possible from then on really, as much as I am a fan of the Patriots I also just love to watch the NFL so watch any game I can, the only televised game I missed last year was the Rams/Seahawks(?) MNF game last year, think I watched the 1st quarter then fell asleep after Marshawn Lynch got his skittles(think that was the same game

I seem to remember the tough losses more than the wins aswell which is a bit strange I guess! I know we have been succesful in the last 10 years but we have also had a lot of heartbreaking/annoying losses aswell. That's what makes the NFL so great though, you can have a massive favourite/underdog but the games are still unpredictable at times especially in the play-offs.

Without the downs the ups aren't as great.

Interesting to see how many got into the game via Madden. The first version I played was on the Amiga about twenty years ago and it was ace. The Mega Drive version ballooned shortly after (in the UK) but the Amiga version was far superior. In the late 80s there was Cyberball which I loved playing. Whenever we went to Southport or Blackpool that was the game I'd look for. Initially it had been Gauntlet (probably around '89) but when Cyberball came along I couldn't stay off it. It was ace lol.

I'm sure sony brought out a version of cyberball for the PS2 in the early 2000's? It may have been their own version under a different name, we had that aswell(probably still do) Looks familiar anyway I absolutely loved it although I was crap at it :D

Next time I go to my brothers I will see if he has it, just need a PS2 to play it on

EDIT: just seen that it was on 'Midway arcade treasures for PS2' and we definitely had that :HIGHFIVE:

I ended up with the Texans because I picked them out of a hat before the 09 Superbowl. It was decided that anybody without a team who was there at my mate's watching the game should pick a team out of the hat of destiny.

I like that idea. Amongst my circle of friends there are fans of Washington, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago and Denver. Those teams tend to give away the era in which most of us first connected with the game. In fact, American football can stand proud and say that it is one of those rare things i.e. something great that happened in the 80s.

Started playing Madden in late 2005, chose the Dolphins for no particular reason. Before then i'd been a ''it's alright watching the highlights, but not a full game'' merchant. But after i played Madden i started to learn the rules etc etc, so i decided to try and watch a full game, taped Cowboys v Rams game off CH5 on new years day/eve 2006 and really enjoyed it. So a month later i stayed up to watch the Steelers beat the Seahawks in the Superbowl, Antoine Randel El chucked a TD pass IIRC. Been into NFL since, including 2 Wembley games, 2007 and 2008. Most memorable game i've watched in full so far was Cards v Bears in 2006, i'd taped it and didn't know the result, and was gutted for the Cards

I remember that Cowboys game, probably mainly to do with the fact that it's pretty easy to remember wins with with the seasons we've had recently!

Wasn't that Cards v Bears game the infamous "THE BEARS ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE" game when Denny Green had that meltdown after the game?

I went to the Giants Rams game at Meadowlands this season while I was traveling the States. That is the only live game I have seen, never been to Wembley

Not sure about that, i'd have to take your word for it. Was a memorable game for so many reasons, Leinart made his TV debut, threw 2 TD's in the 1st QTR, Grossman was having an absolute stinker but it didn't matter because the 2 Bears TD's were fumble returns and one was a kick-off return, and i think it was Neil Rackers who missed a winning FG for the cards. Must've been gut-wrenching to take
