I take it that should Rangers win the title then a minority of Celtic fans will come out with the Masonic conspiracy crap again ?

And if Celtic win the Rangers fans will come out with the Papal conspiracy crap again. That is how it works with the Old Firm.

Sadly.

Laughably.

You are correct - it is laughable and sad at the same time. Hopefully, one day, another Scottish team will win the title. Hearts nearly did some years ago but they lost the last game to, if I am right, Dundee United !!!

Close. It was our (extremely) near neighbour Dun(g)dee who ended the Jambo dreams that fateful day. A chap named Albert Kidd scored two goals late on to hand the title to Celtic who benefitted from St Mirren lieing down to them on the final day so that they could get the five goals they needed to pip Hearts on goal difference.

I am not completely sure (but I suspect Leyther Matt could tell us) but I think that there is still an "Albert Kidd Hibernian Supporters Club" or something similiar out there!

It goes deeper than that. Hearts were denyed a stonewall penalty by the referee when the score was 0-0. The ref was actually a hearts fan, you couldn't imagine Mike McCurry doing that.

Hearts Legend Craig Levein also cried off the day of the game with Diarrhea.

He was sick the other day too after having a dodgy McCurry.

Well, St. Mirren lying down (if they did) would not have had any bearing on the issue if Hearts had got their point so let's not blame them.

Big Celtic fan, Albert Kidd. Jobsworth player who would never have been heard of since, that was subsequently elevated to legendary status.

That season must still bring a tear to the eye of every Jambo. Their demise in the Cup Final the following week was never in doubt after that day.

Not sure if such a club still exists, but he seems to be regularly invited to events at several Supporters Club branches and I did sit near a chap who had "Remember Albert Kidd" on the back of his shirt once

I'm sure marsh316 will be checking back in to therapy as we speak
