Does anyone know who is in the studio for the Super Bowl on Sky?

I know Halling wasn't a popular figure but he was a million times better than his replacement. Van Pelt is awful although I quite like the insight given by the former Lions linebacker who's been there a few times.

It's gonna be Kevin Cadle, Cecil Martin and Neil Reynolds but they will be at the superbowl rather than in the usual studio.

Nice one Andy. You articulated a differing opinion given reasons and substance.

There's really no place for the likes of you on Substandard.

I might have to find myself some terrestrial TV then, rather than listen to them talk about how good it is to be at the SB all night. Reynolds is truly awful

Even when I did have Sky, I would always watch the Super Bowl on the BBC. They have much better guests and, more importantly, no adverts.

TBF when we are in the SB I'm that nervous I don't even hear what the muppets on sky are going on about, I'm usually at the fridge grabbing another beer aswell when the ads come on :DRUNK:

Never bothered to watch it on BBC/ITV because when I have flicked over in the past they are usually explaining the rules to all the noobs and I can't be arrised, I do enough of that myself for my Dad and mate that watches with us

Science flies people to the moon. Religion flies people into buildings.

Has Peyton Manning played his last game ? On NFL.com it has been said his neck is fine but the nerves in his arm are not healing as fast as hoped and that he might not know for another year as to his status.

I was going to say there's a few chunky munkeys on there lol.

Anyway I'm one to talk. Unfortunately my Sunday night buffet for the game won't be as great as this, but I've got plenty of pickled onions and chicken coming for our annual Superbowl party :)

I have to say that despite losing in the championship game I'm still pretty excited about Sunday's game, probably because finishing with a winning record was greater than anything in about ten years lol. Also I think it's helped with the Ravens not getting there as they'd probably been better facing us than the Giants. As it stands there's the history from that epic stomping for the imperfect season that lifts this even if neither team is perhaps as magical as they were then.

Who to cheer is a tough one. Couple of years ago it was easy. Didn't want the Patriots to have an unbeaten season and I'm a NFC man barring the odd team i.e. Cowboys. This year I'm still a NFC man. Also I don't want Brady being mentioned in the same sentence as Joe Cool and that spying still rankles (am I right in saying they haven't won the big one since that broke and if that's the case I think that puts the Patriots' achievements into perspective). I still have that niggle though that the Giants don't really deserve to be there i.e. in our other play off encounters they've pretty much stunned us with their own quality whereas this one was more we gave it to them. It's enough to not have me cheering fully their way. What that probably means is I'll go in supporting the underdog and take it from there as I would rather it be a nailbiter like the last one more than anything else as it's not that important to me who wins.

Mannings definately played his last game for Indy, no way they pay him the $28 million roster bonus IMO.

Can see them releasing him just before the deadline, if they want to trade him they would have to pay the $28 million first iirc and teams may not want to take the risk until he is 100% recovered(if he ever is)

Heard rumours of him going to Arizona, if he can get back to playing anywhere like he was him and Fitzgerald would be quite scary! Also heard rumours of Miami but they can't afford to wait and miss out on Matt Flynn, the Jets are another rumour but can't see Manning getting on with Fat boy Rex. They both like getting their own way and sulk when they don't, that's a car crash waiting to happen

I think he will more than likely retire though, sad way to end a career through injury rather than his own choice if it happens.

How do we not deserve to be there? beat a 15-1 team on the road and a division winner. Like me saying "The Niners wouldn't have scored any TD's had we covered Vernon Davis?" Don't talk bollox. We basically shut down your QB with the exception of two plays, Eli Manning was lights out in very tough weather. We won because we are better and don't play in the weakest division in the NFL. We ALWAYS beat you in championship games. We FORCED 4 fumbles, 2 of which we won. Don't be a sore loser. The better team won. Anybody with a brain will tell you that the Giants deserve to be there.
