Has Peyton Manning played his last game ? On NFL.com it has been said his neck is fine but the nerves in his arm are not healing as fast as hoped and that he might not know for another year as to his status.
Looking that way unfortunately.
As sad as it is to see him go (he never really met his full potential in terms of rings) it's an exciting time to be a Colts fan with all the changes for next season.
However, the rumour that we'll draft RG3 first in the draft worries me!

RG3 will have a better career than Andrew Luck.

By lights out you mean bailed out by Goldson running into his own player twice stopping 2 easy picks, a clear fumble being given back to the Giants and some backup punt returner screwing up TWICE to win the game for the Giants?
As for the better team...they were both rubbish the game was dreadful..although the Packers game was a hell of a lot better.
Didn't my post explain why I thought that was the case i.e. we lost it rather than you won it? You may disagree with that and that's fine. I can see your point. I disagree with it but I understand why you feel that's the case.

I'm sorry bud but he wasn't. From half-time onwards his contribution was pretty much negligible and would have been had it not been for the two turnovers. What I like about him a lot is that he's gutsy (in the same way that Elway was) and that shone through, especially in the second half when he took a battering.
Unfortunately, no matter how you dress it up it it was not an Elway or Montana performance where he rescued the game from the clutches of defeat. You know and I know that the special teams came up in the clutch, not Manning, in the same way that the 49ers special teams had been coming up in the clutch for us during the year (I think Smith has one less come from behind win this year than Manning but I would never suggest Smith is top drawer). I'm sorry that might not fit with your romantic, epic view of Manning but it is exactly what happened. Not all great QBs play great all the time. I remember Montana being manhandled in a very similar way during the 15-13 game. It does happen to the best. It's nothing to be ashamed of or embarrassed about.
Manning still has another game on Sunday to add to his legacy and that gutsiness has me liking him so please don't tip me over into the supporting the cheats on Sunday

I watched several NFL shows after that game, many experts Dilfer, Young, Mariucci, Primetime, Keyshawn Johnson to name a few. Rated his performance as one of the best they've seen given the conditions, key 3rd down plays, keeping play's alive. It was a great performance, that isn't just my view, it's the general view of the NFL world. Hilarious how you base his perfromance on QBrating. Eli has 15 4th quarter TD passes (NFL record). Your opinions are laughable.
One view..
Bottom line, Manning played a smart game, said it was a case of throwing out the stats: “Manning put in an incredible performance against an absolutely ferocious defense, repeatedly delivering key throws under pressure (which he was under constantly).” Brown analyzed Manning’s touchdown pass to Mario Manningham on third-and-15.
Keep posting. almost as bitter as you mard ar'se coach.

Well I just posted a link in that previous post which had a view which differed (as did Gronk's so that's three of us at least) to this general view of the NFL world that you present, therefore perhaps it is not as widely accepted as you appear to have convinced yourself that it is. As we all know pundits are great when we agree with them and idiots if we don't (I've heard enough pundits on TV to know that some of them exaggerate for many reasons as do you if you've watched any SKY broadcast). I can only judge the game with my own eyes and I've found that to be a bit more trustworthy than my judging with my ears on these occasions.

What are you trying to achieve by saying that?
I judged it with my eyes also. 20-17. Eli won as he did the week earlierw ith a great performance. I will still stick with the experts and my own knowledge, not some JCL Niners fan who only starter to post when his team was doing well and is bitter about getting beat by Giants.
 That's like saying Brady won the Ravens game.
Kyle Williams won that game for the Giants.
Also...Sanders & Key experts? next you'll be saying sour puss Marshall Faulk is the font of all knowledge
We know why you're bitter mate, 18-1
3rd and 15 throwing a TD pass. That play's a massive part in winnning you the game in a 20-17 win. I thought you'd know better about play in awful conditions. Jaws also commented on how great that game was for Eli. I will still stick with thei views over your's though pal. Hope your ankle isn't better for sunday.

I seem to remember you saying that Brady is the only reason you won your previous Superbowls? Has that view now changed?
BTW McClennan your recollection of the Giants-9ers game is sketchy at best. Smith hit 1 pass to a WR in that game, 1. But for 2 passes to Davis he did about as much as I did in that game, those 2 passes aside. Just looking at the stats and the Giants had 84 snaps on offense versus a whopping 54 for the 9ers. Man up and admit the better team won. It lessens your credibility that, much like the football thread, you've only popped up once your team has tasted a bit of success.

Wow. It really means a lot to you to have everybody agree with your opinion doesn't it? I'm sorry if I've offended you Mark. It was just that I don't seem to remember you being quite as upset when I was defending Matt King favourably to George Carmont a couple of years ago (with you on the VT) despite the pundits raving about Carmont. So hopefully you can understand why I'm a bit taken aback by the ferocity of your attempts to ridicule me instead of just disagreeing because I happen to have seen things differently.

Please, you two, what are you doing? I certainly don't always agree with either of you but I have respect for your opinions so why embarrass yourselves with some sort of twisted playground name-calling just because somebody happens to disagree with you? What on earth are you trying to achieve? The world is not going end if I and, at the very least, the entire 49ers faithful see it differently.
