Wow. It really means a lot to you to have everybody agree with your opinion doesn't it? I'm sorry if I've offended you Mark. It was just that I don't seem to remember you being quite as upset when I was defending Matt King favourably to George Carmont a couple of years ago (with you on the VT) despite the pundits raving about Carmont. So hopefully you can understand why I'm a bit taken aback by the ferocity of your attempts to ridicule me instead of just disagreeing because I happen to have seen things differently.

Please, you two, what are you doing? I certainly don't always agree with either of you but I have respect for your opinions so why embarrass yourselves with some sort of twisted playground name-calling just because somebody happens to disagree with you? What on earth are you trying to achieve? The world is not going end if I and, at the very least, the entire 49ers faithful see it differently.

Don't care if people agree with me or not. If you had bother to post on here before the Niners were half decent you'd see I have plenty of NFL chat, i've had countless people disagree with me r.e Eli Manning. I've since been proved correct, I've also been proven wrong r.e Aaron Rodgers. Your entitled to your opinion r.e Eli's performance. But to say we don't deserve it is utter bollox. Stating fact isn't name calling, you did only appear on here when the Niners started to win a few. That's a Rafa styleeeeee fact.

Let's have a guestimate on the Superbowl.

Score: Giants 24-28 Patriots
1st Touchdown: Victor Cruuuuuuuuuuuz
MVP: Wes Welker
Minute of 1st touchdown: 5

I just think it's going to be a bridge too far for us. Belichick will have a better gameplan than earlier in the season. they will want big revenge for Superbowl 42.

Yep, Sergio Brown will not be anywhere near the starting lineup this time  he really is a terrible, terrible safety.

McCourty at FS in sub packages seems to have worked out quite well recently too...and that was a classic BB out of left field move.

I'm offering my opinion. Where have I called you names? I merely posted that personally, and I may be alone in this, I take your opinions with a pinch of salt due to your only appearing after the 9ers started winning a few games. I'm the same with WarwickUniWolf who has all but disappeared since his team crashed out. If you've taken what I put as a personal insult I apoligise. My comment was probably a bit pissy with hindsight.

May I ask a couple of questions though. Why have you only posted in this thread since the success of the 9ers this season? Also, how did the Giants not deserve to win the game against you? They controlled the clock and ran 30 more plays than you. They also went 7/21 on 3rd downs, the 9ers went 1/13. Whichever way you look at it, as far as I can see, the Giants deserved to make the Superbowl.

BTW we aren't meant to get along. I'm a Ram

38-34 can't decide who to but if pressed the Giants DL has an edge for me.
1st Touchdown: Manning
MVP: Manning
Minute of 1st touchdown: Depends on what time Manning decides he's going to blow us all away.

Please note I'm being comically facetious with some aspects of this post.

I'm sorry for that. I suppose I was more highlighting this thing that people appear to have about how you're only allowed to post if you agree with the criteria that they're set for posting i.e. you can only post if you've posted on here everyday since year dot and have served in an offensive line against the Monster of Midway on a wet and windy Monday night game at Soldier Field.

Ndamukong wrote:

That's fine. I suppose the lesson here is that just because somebody doesn't post on a thread on that regular a basis does not mean that they don't read the threads or follow the sport. I read MLB.com every day for almost every single snippet of news but I only post on that thread occasionally because it's not that active a thread. I don't follow the NFL as closely as I do that but closely enough to offer a reasoned opinion especially when we're talking legacy, postseason, all-time and Super Bowl thanks to my splendid thirty years of watching :)

Yep they won, they deserve to be there because of that but they still don't deserve to be there lol. This is sport. We're all fans. We all know exactly what that means. When Evander Holyfield drew with Lennox Lewis that was the same. Please don't confuse my flippancy about the Giants' success with bitterness though. You win some, you lose some. That's just the way it goes.

Ndamukong wrote:

I'm happy with that. You might even recall I think it was your comment about Harbaugh's celebrations at the Lions game that provoked me into engaging with the NFL thread. Up until then I was a reader. It's your fault! ;)

A blast from the past for those who have long been consigned to the status of veterans. The first NFL cards that I can remember being sold over here. They were crap because they were based on the strike shortened season.

looking at that, looks like the Niners didn't deserve to be in the playoffs. If it wasn't for the Rams losing 14 games they'd have been 16-0 and p8ssed the division.
