To be fair, Gerrard got injured when Suarez started to establish himself as the league's best. If we didn't have Suarez, the stats wouldn't have looked that good IMO. Still, Gerrard has to hand over the baton at some point, Suarez is the player we must build around now. I'm hoping Gerrard has international retirement on his mind.
