Apparently so. Don't see what use he would be to us though.

Schottenheimer loves having a Wildcat QB (Brad Smith for the Jets).

Because he has some properly bizarre game calling that will involve taking Bradford out of the game in the middle of a good stretch.

Depends if there is the same level of evidence as in the Saints case, something which you keep ignoring.


The Saints get off lightly in my opinion. A $500,000 dollar fine and 2 2nd round draft picks is hardly the greatest sentence ever for potentially cheating to a SB win.

The individuals involved (the Staff) deserved the bans, although I though Loomis would have got a year too if Payton did. Some players will be banned too, but the actual franchise doesn't really suffer a lot.

Where have I ignored this evidence? They were caught bang to rights and I think the punishment is too severe on some of the guilty parties.

Reason I highlighted the quote I did is that it opens up all sorts of cans of worms. If Goodell is saying that a head coach is at fault regardless of whether they know or not then the NFL has to look into previous teams Williams coached for. All the way back to Fisher at the Titans. It's pretty much widely known that Williams ran his bounty scheme everywhere he coached.

While it may be an incredibly unethical piece of business by the Saints, I don't quite see how it's cheating?

Presumably the Saints are going to have to appoint an interim head coach while Payton serves his suspension - be interesting to see whether they go from within or bring in someone untainted by the whole experience.

He's just something else! There was a wind up, and he still managed to throw almost entirely all perfect passes! Hopefully now this puts all the speculation about us picking RG3 first to bed!
