Was told that Rodwell is often seen at Carrington as his dad works for the club not sure how true it is though, apparently a deal is in place for him but we'll only see him in the summer ala Chris Smalling :?

I expected a bit more movement tbh with Anderson leaving and read on a few sites that Hargreaves was on his way to Preston on a months loan to get some game time under his belt.

We rejected a loan offer from Lyon for Anderson. It wouldn't surprise me if Fergie has given Anderson time off to sort his head out, he did it with Ronaldo a couple of times.

No idea what's going on with Hargreaves, in October he was seemingly ready to return, but he still doesn't train with the rest of the squad on a regular basis.

From what I have read he is being held back mentally now not physically.

What is Robbie Keane doing heading to Celtic? He's 29 and still doing ok in the premiership. I know he's a big Celtic fan but he's throwing away the pinnacle of his career in a sub-par league.

Also how embarrassing is Middlesboroughs recruitment? I think Strachan has signed only 2 players who haven't played for Celtic

Robbie Keane wrote:
I've been a Liverpool fan all my life, going back to when I was a kid growing up in Dublin, and I always had a Liverpool shirt on my back. So, to be here now as a Liverpool player is incredible and I couldn't be happier.

BBCSport wrote:
Celtic have confirmed the signing of Tottenham striker Robbie Keane on loan until the end of the season.

The 29-year-old Republic of Ireland international is travelling to Glasgow on Monday evening and will be presented at a media conference at 2300 GMT.

Keane has been consistently linked with a move to the club he is known to have supported as a boy.

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp said: "He needs to be playing and to go to Celtic is a dream come true for him."

Being Catholic and from the Rep. Of Ireland he is naturally a Celtic fan that comes without saying so Liverpool must be his "English Team".

With Anderson i saw that Lyon wanted him but wasn't prepaired to match his £50k p/w wages then there was a rumour this morning that P.S.G. had made a move for him but they're a team with about as much money as us

Read a couple of months ago that Hargreaves is ready for full training but his head isn't right and can't go into tackles. I suppose having such major problems and being out for so long will cause serious mental problems

He's a football player.

TBH I'm sure there will be a few players who do genuinely support a club, but IMO the vast majority of them have practically no concept of what it means to be a supporter. They are streamed at a very young age into becoming mini-pros and all that training and work is set to make them pro players. They don't have the time and freedom to develop the relationship with clubs that supporters have.

Just look at section of Keane's wikipedia page: Keane received offers from both Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers but decided to go to the First Division side, judging that it would be harder to break into the first team at Liverpool.[2] He moved to Wolves at the age of fifteen, joining their youth team.

No true Liverpool supporter would do that. They'd be driven by the experience and being a Liverpool player, walking in the foot steps of Shanks, Dalgleish, Rush etc.

The chance of rising higher, faster at Wolves is one a pro would make. There's no way a supporter would make that choice.

When a 10 club player kisses the badge of a club he's just signed, he needs a slap. Players proffessing support of teams need one too.

Is Wee Gordy just trying to get his old band back together at Boro? He's a Boruc and a Nakamura short of a full house.
