The first 3 were not bad horses, the rest were cart horses but surely he must have some ability to lead them for a mile and a half and not end up beaten totally out of sight, a novice hurdle will always see him up against 3 or 4 different class animals but a poor selling handicap and who knows.

England, it seems, can only score from corners (all three of their goals against Sweden came from corners as did another two in the group games). For that reason, small wagers on the likes of Richards and Onouha for first scorer don't seem that ridiculous.
