Look who is throwing Gronkowski the ball compared to who Tony Gonzalez has had.
I don't think anyone will ever come close to the stats that Gonzalez has put up in his great career, he's without a doubt the best ever and will be for a long time until someone can get close to him.
Players like Gronk and Jimmy Graham have a chance but don't think they could put up the numbers that they have every year, think Graham is 26 this year so he would have to play well into his 30's to get anywhere near Gonzalez and with Gronkowski theres obviously the concerns about how long he will be able to play.
The fact we have given Gronkowski a contract before Welker even though he still had 2 years left on his rookie deal says to me that Welker isn't in our long term plans and I expect Hernandez to be next in line for a big payday. I hope we give Welker a good deal because he deserves it and we still need him playing at the level that has been, I think he still has 2/3 good years in him.
