Ok so far I've backed

Tyrur Hestor (my main hope) 33/1

Jesters Nap (my early main hope) 33/1

With a speculative few quid on

King Edward (one of the best local dogs and likely to keep qualifying as has pace to bur out wide) 300/1

Roswell Startrek 200/1 back in February but he's gone totally off the boil since

Kengyelfuto Snow (not had many races and could get get the hang of things through the competition) 300/1


Others I might be tempted by are Westmead Osprey and Ja Mann but with 4 going through from each heat on Friday and Saturday unless any outsider posts a super fast time the odds will not change much and after seeing the 2nd round draw it's better to add some new picks if need be

Aside from backing the Hurricane i'll likely be backing Moskova provided the 8 runners stay in or look for betting without Cooldine and backing her first two in that market. She's an improving mare and although struggled last time out I think she'll come into her own at 3m.

No messing with this weeks US golf tip.

Heath Slocum at 175/1. Has scored some really low scores in this tournament previously but never strung the four good rounds together he needs to win (5th last year, 10th 2004). In decent nick as has made the last four cuts and took last week off (hopefully to be fresh for this one).
