A new beginning for football in Leigh as we finally ditch the 'RMI' name that has dogged us for so long. Must say that the impression I've got so far is very good indeed, it seems a really strong brand already and it's the perfect time to implement it with the LSV on the horizon.

Railway Mechanics Institute was an oddity, as Leigh is one of the biggest towns in the country without a railway. Are the club def playing at the LSV from this coming season then.

That's because they started off in Horwich and kept the rmi when they moved to Leigh

From around mid-September onwards, yes (ie once it's ready).

And the RMI part and it's Horwich connections were the main reason why we've struggled for support in the past - been a hugely positive reaction to the new name though.

Well, I'll def get down to a game at the LSV and see how it compares to the RMI v Stalybridge game I watched at christmas (and in the worst conditions ever).

Some decent signings for Farsley so far:

Great news that Craig Bentham has resigned from Bradford and Tom Penford joins him - midfield is looking very strong now on top of those players retained.

Damien Reeves has gone to Histon though.
