We'd need £70 million for the 3 named above. I reckon we have about £20million to spend and I can't see us raising the other £50 million whether we sell Alonso or not.

England scared of Australian Football World Cup bid ENGLAND is clearly rattled that Australia is trying to take the World Cup from under its nose. Socceroos goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer says England, favourite to win hosting rights, is far from underestimating Australia's bid for sport's showpiece event in 2018. The Fulham star yesterday attended the official launch in Canberra, along with Socceroos skipper Lucas Neill. "I don't think at this stage they (England) are too over confident," Schwarzer said. "They are relatively quiet on it. I think they know Australia is very capable of hosting such an event. "They've obviously done their launch and release. Like anyone is, I think everyone has to be cautious at this stage." David Villa's deal to join Madrid seems to have hit the rocks and Barca apparently are £10m out on their valuation.

Hope Fergie has a punt, maybe try a £60m deal on the table for Villa and Silva!

wouldnt surprise me if rafa is sniffing around villa

he has been after him for years

i think saviola would be a good signing he has been treated poorly at madrid and a chance at liverpool could make him the player we all know we can be
