I reckon Kauto should be retired. At 11, age is probably starting to catch up with him.
If he does nothing in the Gold Cup that will add to F-won a poor Down Royal race-3 which would be sad to see as he has been the best chaser of his generation.
I had money on the Henderson horse in the second at Kempton, then money on Quito de la Roque (watch the race, tremendous ride from Russell - the horse looked beat until the end) and then rolled it onto Kauto. I suspect there will be doctors and hospitals up and down the country treating many cases of burned fingers today.
Don't think theres a better jockey around than Davy Russell at the minute, some of his rides have been excellent.
